Overview
This is where I will list errors and problems I have come across and how I resolved them.
Encountered Errors
The first ones being the following
IPMI SEL
System Management Software 1 SEL Fullness: Log Full.
These errors are appearing in the log after doing firmware updates. When you look this up on Google and go to IBM's website they tell you to reboot the server and clear down the system event log in the BIOS. That is not all way's feasible if the Hosts server is running services.
I fixed this by doing the following.
Select System Event Log in the View Box: see bellow
Then click on Reset event log, as it states this can take several minutes to complete, once done the errors should go away. If the errors are still showing the screen may need a refresh by clicking on update.
